Sign Over Trail to Indian Village Frontierland

Yesterday I posted a photograph of the Tom Sawyers Island raft Huck Finn and in the background could be seen a tantalizing banner hung over the trail to Indian Village. Here is the banner advertising Mike Fink's Keel Boats, Canoes and the Indian Village. If you check out Gorillas Don't Blog post of today you will also see part of the same banner.

I also agree with Don Goodsell! Matterhorn, this bunch of slides that you have been posting are just amazing. Do you know anything about the photographer? The images are so professional, not to mention the fact that he had access to the park when it wasn't open....

All I know is that he was a park employee and a Club 55 member. I believe he worked for Kodak at the Camera Shop. I am planning to go through my collection and scan another set the same employee took which are focused on park signage.

Gorgeous shot once again!

Are you gonna be in town this weekend?

A set that just focuses on signage! It's as if the photographer knew that 45 years later people would really be interested in this kind of detail! in 1960 it must have seemed kind of nutty.
