America Sings

Late in it's run as an atraction, America Sings still makes me happy. The songs were fun, the theater moved and the AA figures are still fun as seen in Splash Mountain. These photographs all feature the singing groups. Enjoy this flash back to this spectacular Marc Davis designed attraction.

I absolutely loved this attraction all the way to the end of its run. Even more than Country Bear Jamboree.

I can't believe it's been gone for nearly a quarter of a century.

And the building, along with the rest of Tomorrowland, doesn't move...or move me...anymore. :(

I enjoyed the show a lot, except for the moment when the lovely "Home on the Range" got sabotaged by sound leakage from the super-loud "Down By the Riverside" performing on the previous stage at the same time.

Without the Bears or American Sings, a huge piece of classic DL magic has been missing from the park for a long time. I prefer Disneyland to Florida's Magic Kingdom, but this is one area where the MK definitely has the advantage.

I never had the opportunity to see this attraction. I can't stand the Country Bears.

Awesome post, boy do I miss this attraction! Rich T., I had forgotten all about the sound leakage, even that "disruption" is a fond memory now, thanks for the memory jog...
