October 1956 Lonely Indian and Snow White

Pushing the way back machine 11 years to arrive in October 1956. First up is a very lonely Indian. Maybe he thought he could lay out on the sand and have a beach party?

The next place to visit is Snow White's Scary Adventure. The ride vehicles are just two seaters. I have left the image rather large so you can see some of the details of the mural painted on the wall.

Hmmm… no lap bars for riders of Snow White's Adventures ("scary" wasn't added until the '70s). Better hold on during the loop-de-loop at the finale!

Those old murals were masterpieces!

The chief seems to have had a full war bonnet, and then they used a headdress with only three feathers for a while, then back to the bonnet. Wonder why?

Love the Snow White queue picture!

Great photos. For those interested in the old Disneyland Snow White Ride, there is an event at the Snow White Cafe, 6769 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles on May 13th, 2010. There will be an artifact from the ride on display for that night only. For more detailed info, visit http://ghoula.blogspot.com/2010/05/mays-spirits-with-spirits.html
