Things from the Gate- Silhoutte Shop Brochure

Fantastic brochure from the late 1950s for the classic Main Street store the Silhouette Shop. Nice history of the Silhouette and of the two artists who ran the store.

I can't hear the word "silhouette" without thinking of one of my first Hot Wheels toys (1968). Man I loved Hot Wheels back in the day!!

We went in this shop once long ago. Many moon, many buffalo.

Major, did you have one of those too?

Mine was that bright lime green metallic. I so wanted a real car like that. I still have my original Hot Wheels in the black tire case, all the original cars and the badges, except one. pretty weird.
