New Years Eve Party 51 Years Ago

I know I usually post souvenir items on a Friday, but today feels like a Friday although it is only Wednesday. This is one of the coolest little fliers I have found in a while. The 1957 New Years Eve Party to welcome 1958 cost $3.95 per person and included all rides and attractions, music of popular bands until 2:30 AM and a special fun package of streamers, party hats and noise makers. Tickets for the event were on sale at all the ticket offices in each land as well as the Penny Arcade. Group pricing was available at City Hall. Let's all get together and go to the New Years Eve party at Disneyland in 1957, I can get discounted tickets!

Love the line art on this! I believe Kevin used the tea cup art as the basis of a special pin a few tears back, always cool to see the source material.

NICE! I want one of those tickets even if I can't go! Interesting that they sold those tickets Inside the park too... Love the art work, thanks for the great New Years Post & Happy New Year!

Super neat item, this is the very definition of "ephemera"!

I was attending Santa Ana High School at the time, and I remember the ticket reservations being available at the main office, but they had to be in at least two weeks in advance. Parents considered it a "safe" place to go, and buses were organized.
