Entrance to Adventureland

Looking like an image taken directly from a postcard or a guidebook is this nice shot of the entrance to Adventureland. The number of items decorating the entrance is amazing, looking like a classic tiki bar. I do not remember seeing many images with the cannibal head on top of the sign and the crossed paddles hanging from the sign. The masks on the fence are also very nice. A definite portal to a land of adventure.

Wow, I've seen a lot of photos of this entrance, but this one is spectacular. I love all of the detail, and I don't think I've EVER seen that cannibal head hanging from the tusks (I need that in my collection!!!), and I'm not sure I've seen the paddles there either. Great picture!

WOW - Detail rich! This is my new wallpaper for my desktop (Sorry Dave, I had your Tomorrowland 67 People Mover/Flight to the moon picture for a couple months!)... That cannibal head is so cool, I want one too!!!

It wasn't really a cannibal head, but a mask. To large to be a head. Later, all the skulls, heads, spears, etc. were removed. It was thought kids would be effected by to many "death" symbols. Phhhh!

Great shot--and they got it without people there. Unless they were scared off by the headhunters!
