West Side of Main Street March 1955

Our photographer next moved down the street and snapped this photo of the West side of Main Street. Shown is the Crystal Arcade and the Emporium. The brick wall that needs to be moved into place is neat along with the skeletal structure of the Railroad station in the background. Our photographer keeps moving with another Main Street image tomorrow.

I am particularly interested in seeing these pictures, but they are not showing up. I would be interested in hosting them for you if blogger has a problem. (See http://infospect.com/pictorials.) ad (at) familydallas.com.

This picture is flipped horizontally. It's the west side, not the east side--that's the Emporium and the Crystal Arcade. The brick wall is apparently a mockup (or pre-fabrication) for the City Hall or Police Station. These are great pictures, by the way--thanks for putting them up!

Hello Alastair- you are right, it is flipped. However, I believe the brick facade was used for the Jewelry shop and time shop (well, what is now the New Century Time Pieces shop.) When my server is not acting up, I will post it correctly flipped.

As you can see, I have switched the image and it is now orientated correctly.
