Souvenir Friday- Pastoral Symphony Storybook Signed by Walt Disney

A favored item in my collection is this nice copy of the Pastoral Symphony book. The book is part of a series published featuring a selection from Fantasia. A scarce book by itself, this one is made much more special with an inscription and autograph by Walt Disney. Featuring his classic 1940s style signature and written in fountain pen, the autograph is large and readable. As far as the recipient, all I know is that she was born in 1915, lived in the San Diego area since 1939 and passed away in 2011. I do not know her connection to Walt Disney. However, the sentiment is a nice inscription.

So neat, I need to have my autograph authenticated by Phil Sears! It might be phony, but I am pretty sure t's the real deal.

Nice! From the info you have on this Dorothy Hammack, she must have been in her 20s when Walt signed this. And she indeed must have gotten well after Walt's wishes since she lived until 2011. Certainly makes one want to know more about how Walt came to sign this for her.
