Finally found one of the Gibson Cards I am missing. This one features Main Street with the vehicles stopped in front of City Hall.

Major Pepperidge said...: It almost looks like a hand-colored black and white photo (though I am sure that it is a genuine color photo).

Dan said...: Wow—I wasn't aware of this series of cards. The presentation is a simple elegance evocative of a time before giant logos overpowered imagery. Of course, this was produced between '55-'60, so the concept of what a Disneyland "is" was still pretty nebulous...

Always a treat to see new shots of those trees in their earliest stages: quite a difference from 2013.; 12:37 PM
