Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm 1956

Two photographs of Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm in 1956. First up is a view of Knott's Berry Farm Ghost Town Narrow Gauge Railroad. Quite a crowd of guests waiting for the train. Photograph is dated on the back October 14, 1956.

The other image is of a young boy getting off the Jungle Cruise. I love the shirt, his spectator shoes and the camera around his neck. The photograph is dated September 16, 1956. According to the Almanac, on this Sunday Disneyland was open open 10 AM to 10 PM with a high of 93 and a low of 55 and an attendance of 12,843.

Nice view of the pre-Calico Mine Train days at Knott's.

I never tire of those Jungle Cruise dock pics. Cool photo!

It's nice when a blogger references Jason's Almanac for a date-stamped Disneyland photo. It really gives an added dimension to viewing the photo.

Whoa, an attendance of less than 13,000. THAT would be a great day to go.
