Knotts Berry Farm Visit 10-15-48 #2

Second set of four black and white photographs from a visit to Knotts Berry Farm and Ghost Town in 1948. The first image that caught my eye is the Mule and Horse barn. I may be incorrect, but I think the sign changed over the years. I also like the first image showing the character photo shot, but with the view of people taking photos of the characters.

More great vintage Knott's views! Waiting for a chicken dinner could be HOURS, this looks like a pretty fun way to pass the time!

How extremely cool to see these nearly 60 year old views of Knott's. My personal memories of Knott's only stretch back to about 1957.

When I was in high school in the mid-60s, I lived just 4 miles from Knott's, and they still didn't charge admission, so it was a swell, nearby, cheap date. During that time I saw a teenage Steve Martin perform at the Birdcage Theater five or six times, and he was stand-out funny even at 19 years old.

Thanks for these great pictures.
