World's Fair Wednesday- 1958 Brussels World's Fair at Night

The Atomium was the theme structure at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. I have many views of the building during the day, but this night shot is spectacular.

Next up is a time lapse sequence of the fountains by the Welcome Building.

During my one visit to Brussels I wasn't able to convince my family to go out to see Atomium. Maybe I could have if I had a night shot like that to show them!

Amazing you're uploading this just now! I've been at the atomium this weekend and have been trying to find nighttime photos that were made during the expo.
The building didn't have any lights for years until the refurbishment in 2005, when all the lights were replaced by LEDs: http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/2773/dscf4953.jpg

For as far as I know the lights were already 'animated' at times during the expo?
