Big Head Characters

Quick post showing the big headed characters from Disneyland in the early 1960s. First up is one of the 3 Little Pigs getting some love from Japanese dancers.

Next up is Mickey and Minnie enjoying the fake flowers on Main Street.

A group of the characters getting a handshake from a guest. I am amazed that Goofy and the Big Bad Wolf look on model while Mickey and Minnie are big head characters.

The last image is a fun one showing all of the entertainment personnel working at the park in 1961. I have left this image large so you can scroll across the photograph and check out all the people....such as Wally, Betty, Roy, and more.

These are the characters that nightmares are made of. Fantastic pic of the whole cast. BEAUTY!

I think the seven dwarfs are big-head characters too.

The 1960 Mickey and Minnie may not be on model, but they do have a friendly, winsome quality missing from GenOne Mickey. I think the big problem is the costumes had "dead hands".

The group photo was great, the only change I'd make is move the Indians to the center above Floral Mickey and and get the spooky pigs into the wings.

Love the fact that the mermaids are front and center. And it looks like the White Rabbit has not changed at all over the years.

In pic 3, it appears that the humans inside Mickey and Minnie are both wearing sunglasses.

And Moosketeer Roy Williams is standing at the top of Mickey's left ear.
