Nature's Wonderland Large Format Photo #1

Going through the boxes of my collection, I rediscovered a set of three Nature's Wonderland photographs. The photos all measure 10 by 11 inches. This one seems to show a new ride operator driving the engine with the trainer in his miner outfit watching him. Lots of details to check out in this image.

Over the next couple of days, I will show the other two images.

Nice "large format" follow-up to the opening day series. I sure do enjoy these large photos, thanks for sharing.

I was hoping that might be me running the train. Looks a few years earlier though.

That would definitely have been way up there among my "most wanted" jobs at Disneyland!

Actually, the Engineer IS the guy in the miner outfit. No one is training in the shot. The train was controlled through the tender (where the motive power really is) and the "engineer" sat on a little seat on the front of the tender. Since the "locomotive" really didn't do anything except add to the show, I'm assuming they let a few folks ride up there as in this photo and many others.

Nature's Wonderland--an attraction that I have a strong passion for. I'm building a 4X7' model of it and photos like these are invaluable. I'm looking forward to more shots of this great attraction!

I used to love this ride and the pack mules for looking for the hidden and not so hidden animals. The barest edge of the bobcat on top of the Saguaro and the peccary (Javelina)in the shadows. I'm getting up there in age though...any others? Animals that is!!!
