Stoybook Land 1956
A series of slides from Storybook Land in 1956. The first is of the large map that was located at the front of the attraction listing the stories and country of origin.

I am just loving your blog. I am a Disney freak to the core..
So today when I saw the vintage photo of Gepetto's place I wanted to share a RECENT photo with a twist on my blog. I thought you might like a giggle. I will try to put in comment here
WOW. I wish that they had done a postcard using that Storybook Land sign, like they did with the Frontierland version! The only photos I have that show this sign are lame... it's far away and barely visible.
I was just thinking how unique the Storybookland ride is. If they had made a walk through people would have dawdled too long, but with the boats, you just cruise past the little scenes in a very pleasant way. Hopefully with a very pleasant girl guide. Simple and fun.
Nice pictures, but I think you need to clean your scanner. All of your recent images have a red vertical line from the top to the bottom of the images.

Does anybody know why two boats (Flower and Katrina)are no longer in service?

Nice one, Matterhorn!

What a great look at the ride in its infancy. Nice post!

I've got another picture of that sign on my Casey Jr. blog.
