Souvenir Friday- Tour Guide guide and Tour Guide Doll

Today's souvenirs are two fold. The first is the Disneyland University created guide for Tour Guides. This is the manual I have been taking quotes from every day. It is a fascinating look at what tour guides were exepected to do, to look like and everything else when representing Disneyland.

The second item is a doll that was sold at Disneyland in the mid 1960s. I have seen a brunette, redhead and blonde hair versions of these dolls. I love the hang tag with the Disneyland Tour Guide badge and that the uniform is an accurate representation. I am sure many girls loved these dolls, but I wonder how many guys purchased this doll?

Great item (looks like you found it in great condition too)! I don't even want to think about men buying this doll (unless they were buing them for their daughters, wives or girlfriends!!

As an former Tour Guide, I would LOVE to see the inside pages of the guide! Would it be possible for you to scan the interiour pages? It would be greatly appreciated from this former Plaid!
Thanks

I was the original owner of this doll. I sold it to you on ebay. I'm so glad it has such a good home. Luckily, I never played with it, because as a little girl I didn't like the outfit she wore (it wasn't pink). Your blog is delightful! It brings back many happy memories.

I have a pair of these dolls. Does anyone know the value? They're in the box

vintageboutique- my guess at high retail (auction, specific Disney show) the dolls would be priced at $350 or so (in the box, with the brochure and everything else.)
