Tour Guide Julie Reihm Off to Exotic Somewhere

This is Julie Reihm who is most famous for appearing with Walt Disney on the Tencenniel show. She receives a personally guided tour from Walt of the all the new attractions in development for Disneyland at WED. The show was the first introduction to Imagineers for me when it aired in repeat many years later on the Wonderful World of Disney. She does strike a nice pose in front of the old United Airlines jet at the airport. Her distinction is she was the first tour guide ambassador in 1965.

Here is another quote from "it's been my pleasure" the guide for tour guides:
Your Costume...created by our Disney artists and the Disneyland Wardrobe Department...was designed to fit the role you play in our Disneyland show. It's essential that you wear it as the designer planned it.
We take it for granted that you know the importance essentials of good grooming and etiquitte. But perhaps a reminder about eye shadow or eye liner is essential. When off stage... outside Disneyland...you may handle your makeup as you please. But as a tour guide, you must have a wholesome, natural look and this lines out eye shadow or eye liner.

Does anyone know where she is now? It would be fun to read an interview with her.

Hey todd as I was getting ready to post this I looked for any information on her and there was no updates. I do not think any of the websites or Disney sites have managed to find her and I don't even know if Disneyland has contacted her regarding publicity.

A good friend of mine still works with DL guests relations, and Juile came to one of the larger Ambassador reunions a few years ago. Cicely Rigdon is almost like a second grandmother to me: Before she had some health issues she use to have a very fancy traditional
English Christmas party and always some past ambassadors and guides were there--some who are still good friends with Julie. Cicely I must say is the classiest person I can ever imagine meeting. She still hopes to complete her Disneyland Tour Guide historical book

I have often thought that the tour guides would be great interviews. Marcia Miner, Julie Reihm, or anyone. Imagine the nutty stories they must have because they dealt with the public (in some cases, celebrities).

And of course, any of the guides who have "Walt stories" would be super interesting!

Julie, was and is a less than sparkling personality. She threatened to sue Walt because the car she was given was the wrong color. The only time she has resurfaced has been if she was paid to show.
