Tiki Room and Tahitian Terrace

A couple of great snapshots from a visit in the late 1970s. First up is a view of the signage and Uti found outside of the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Next up is one of my recent favorite shots with a view of the entrance to the Tahitian Terrace. Some fantastic signage on this A-frame including a picture of a sign I own in use.

Oh man, that second photo is wonderful; I'm not sure I've ever seen those Kikkoman signs before. Which one of the signs do you own, have you shown it on your blog?

I always regret that I didn't dine at the Tahitian Terrace when it existed. It was one of those things I was always going to to do later. Then it was too late when Aladdin's Oasis came along.

I miss that place! I saw my first real hula dancer there (in person that is-beginning of Hawaii 5 O doesn't count). I guess as a kid I was staring too much, mom and dad had to tell me to close my mouth. I always love how they came out of the waterfall.

I grew up going to Disneyland, and this was always my favorite restaurant. I miss it so!

@ K. Martinez - geez! It's a primal Disneyland memory for me. Loved it, miss it. Felt so jungle-live, active, not quiet, yet exotic and remote. Adventurous. :)
