Main Street Views From 1971

From the same set of photographs of Skyway Views in 1971 are these three views of Main Street. First up is a view of Town Square with the Opera House and Wonderland Music in the background. Note the two drinking fountains in the foreground.

Next up is a view from the Emporium towards the Magic Shop, Tobacco Shop and Cinema.

Final image is a look on Main Street with the Omnibus navigating the crowd.

Just look at all that hair and all those pants, amazing! Disneyland was probably the only place in America in the early 1970's where the colors weren't muted. I really miss these taller more mature trees lining Main Street.. it makes it feel so much more like an actual street. Main Street, USA. <3. Quick, I'll race you to Progress City!
