Seattle World's Fair Eye of the Needle Restaurant

The top of the Seattle Space Needle was a restaurant called the the Eye of the Needle. Guests would dine on fine food and have a view of the World's Fair.

Here is a view that diners would see during lunch and dinner.

I was not able to blog the last couple of days as the newest member of the Stuff From the Park team was born on Friday. My little son Logan Masaru came into the world at 8:08 AM and weighed 5 pounds and measured 19.25 inches. Now to start him on collecting....

Hey-

Mazel tov-! I'm certain Logan already possesses the "collecting gene". You won't have to "start him on collecting", it'll be more like "holding him back-!"

I should have also mentioned - although many things have changed - many have stayed the same. Plenty of the sights spied in 1962 can still be seen today, virtually unchanged.

Congratulations to the family!

What a great pic of the restaurant interior, I remember eating with my parents in this place during our visit to the Fair. Thanks so much for this one.

Catching up on posts from the last week, and although belated, wanted to congratulate you on he new addition to the family. I'm sure he'll have his own nice collection of "stuff from the park" in no time!
