Matterhorn and Submarine (Part 2 of Group of Snapshots)

Continuing with the group of snapshots I posted the first two yesterday. Today we are in Tomorrowland with the first image of the Matterhorn and Skyway. Unfortunately no Monorail of bobsleds, but two of the old school Skyway buckets.

The second image shows the submarine Triton navigating the Submarine Lagoon. The Matterhorn is kind of bare and the great Fantasyland Autopia sign is very visible.

What a great photo of the submarine. Now, if anyone who worked Subs can tell me... the water flowing out... "show" or purpose? Regardless, I love that layer of detail.

The Submarine image is awesome! I prefer the sparse vegetation of vintage Disneyland photos because it allows you to see the layers, park layout and structural details unobstructed. Here we have the Submarine on the lower level, next level the walkways and Autopia, then off the ground is the Monorail track and to top it all off, the Matterhorn. Wonderful! Thank you.

Matthew, I assume that the diesel engines were water cooled; why not use the giant reservoir of cool water that they moved through?
