Freedomland Slide Collection Part 7

Today's images are from the Civil War ride. Given that the United States was enthralled with the 100th Anniversary of the Civil War, Freedomland created a ride based upon the war. The concept was the guests were reporters riding into battle in a horse drawn wagon to report on the events. The sets are very gruesome and would not be created in today's PC environment. First up is a shot of some Confederate heavy mortars shelling the Union Army.

Next up is the gory aftermath of the battle. The tableau showcases the brother against brother aspect of the war.

The last two images show a rebel encampment with the soldiers enjoying some moonshine. I believe both sides enjoyed moonshine.

These are great. I wonder if the human figures moved (animated) or if it was like an outdoor wax museum. Does anyone know?

I believe the figures had limited movement similar to those figures seen in classic dark rides.
