Souvenir Friday- Sweater Guard

From a time when girls wore button up sweaters and did not want them to open....a sweater guard which you would pin one side of the sweater to the other, usually towards the top of the sweater. Nice design featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle and Tinkerbell.

Wow - I never even knew something like a sweater guard existed! Love the price tag!!!! What's an "excise tax"?

Very cool to see this one the original card.

I looked up "excise tax" on Wikipedia, but it put me to sleep!

This is that style of simple, clean, fun packaging that Jody and I love. This is perfect. I'm putting together a blog post symposium on packaging design and may refer to this one. It's wonderful.

In addition, it's comforting to learn that among her many uses, Tinker Bell was also a guardian against wardrobe malfunctions of the 50s!

You need a companion illustration of the guard in action.
