Christmas in Disneyland

I am dedicating this post to Major Pepperidge from Gorilla's Don't Blog who posted Christmas photos yesterday. My images are of the Fantasy On Parade held in the 1960s rather than the Christmas Tree. First up is Goofy with his amazing jalopy. Check out all the writing on the car.

Next up is a Pig and Wolf marching down the street.

A long view of the street with the giant Fantasy On Parade in the background.

The best image is of Donald Duck and a nephew driving a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride car.

I didn't know Goofy was a Boot-legging Shriner!

Also, about the Donald Duck suit -- It's not familiar. Is this what was used in daily walk abouts at this time, or was it a special creation to meet the needs of parade where the character has to drive a car?

I'm with Katella, Donald Duck looks kind of different, his head isn't as huge as the costumed character that walks around the park. Great picture!

I have old 8mm movies of this parade

Donald's feet are little stubs at seat level. So, unless it is an unmanned radio controlled car, the person's feet must extend into the seat and out of view. The hands on the wheel do look like real hand though.

Very cool little car, I wonder what happened to it in the years since.
