The Magnificent Matterhorn

A great set of views of the magnificent Matterhorn. Taken in 1977 as evidenced by the Space Mountain building, we see several views of the top, along with a nice view of the sign demonstrating the seating arrangement on the single sled ride vehicles. (The question is where can I get one of those signs?) Finally a rare shot from inside the mountain, showing one of the single sleds going up the lift hill. Enjoy, I know I really like these photographs.

WOW, these bring back memories!!! Rare moment with Space Mt. and the Single sleds, it was only that way for about a year. That sign is very interesting, no ladies sitting in the back? I can't even imagine the comments today if this sign was still there... Double-WOW with the rare interior shot, thanks for these.

Yes, great interior shot, and I also love the sign and the shot with the Skyway approaching the mighty Matterhorn!

The interior shot... is that what it looked like before they redid the ride in the late 70's? That's when they added the Yeti & the snow effect on the lift portion of the ride. Could you see the tracks like that? Thanks as always for all the great photos!

As a kid, it seemed so disappointing to ride through a hollow mountain full of exposed tracks. Now... wish I'd snapped pictures of it all!

Nice pics, Matterhorn.
