Souvenir Friday- Club 33 Membership Card

The first Club 33 Membership cards were like credit cards with the members name. Upon completion of the meal, an impression of the card would be made and the member would receive a bill in the mail. This card is for Donald W. Douglas Jr of the Douglas Aircraft Company. The rules on the reverse are pretty strict with payment time, number of people to be admitted to Disneyland and the member having to be present. The card could also be used at other Disneyland restaurants and shops. I wish this would still work and get me into Club 33.

That's a keeper.

It does say 'insert here' - maybe it still works, Mr. Douglas!

I've never set foot inside Club 33, but I'm surprised that YOU haven't! I would think that with all of your connections you would have at least had lunch there!

Wow. Awesome collectible.

When we were there in March, you had to have your name on the list to even get inside the foyer of the Club.

Even after they confirmed our party's name, is was still awe-inspirirng!

Nice!!!

I've been there too. Excellent dessert bar!

Not only is the card awesome, but I think it's pretty neat that it belonged to a "Douglas" too.

Great post.

I had the good fortune to dine once at Club 33 in 2001. My company had a membership and our team was treated to the oh, so exclusive venue. I will never forget it!! Talk about feeling special. A delightful meal in an elegant dining room overlooking New Orleans Square on one side of the dining room and the Blue Bayou and Pirates on the other side. We had a lovely veal dish and wonderful accompanying wines! I wish I could go back ... and take you all with me!!

Hi Matterhorn1959, this is a very nice find. Where did you get it from? Would you consider selling it for the right price? Do you have any other vintage Club 33 stuff? E-mail at phx-arz@hotmail.com or respond here. Thanks!
