Esther's Photo Album #4

Some more views of Main Street and Town Square. The first is of one of her co-worker friends, Jane who worked for Bank of America.

The second does not have a written caption but is a nice shot of the Upjohn pharmacy along with the Flower Market.

The third image is marked Santa Fe Station Entrance. The station is one of the classic icons of the park.

Finally the last photo is captioned News Office and Show Business. Show Business was a store that sold souvenir photographs, postcards and other items of Movie Stars and was run by a Hollywood Reporter Jimmy Starr. I have more on Jimmy Starr and one of these days will post some of the more interesting paper items.

Please, more Jimmy Starr! It's information that's hard to come by.

News Office and Show Business....awesome! I have never seen a photo of that before, and was only aware that it existed fairly recently. Thanks Matterhorn!

I've never seen a photo of Jimmy Starr's Show Business before. It looks like nobody's home!

Fantastic store-front shots!

A rather odd distortion in those pics. Is it in the originals? It's especially noticeable in in the first one of the bank lady. I banked with, and cashed my checks at, the B of A at the park as long as I worked there. ('59 to '65).

Sorry! The distortion seems to be in the thumbs only

Where do you get all of these old photos? It seems as if the supply never ends.

The Bank of America has such a cute store front; I love the font used on the window. The last photo is interesting - the building looks so empty!

The shop is closed. By the time this picture was taken the shop keepers, Ray and Sally Gruber had given up their lease. The window was dressed by Disney staff.
