Carol Visit's Freedomland 1963 Part 1

Recently a good friend of mine, Mike, lost his mother suddenly and I am saddened at the loss of his mom and his best friend. When my friend was going through her items, he found a nice group of photographs from his mom's trip to Freedomland in 1963. The first image is of his mom, Carol Versandi holding a 1963 Freedomland brochure. In the background is the petting zoo found in the Midwest section of the theme park.

Next image is of the Santa Fe Railroad crossing the trestle bridge after heading out from the Midwest station.

So Mike, my thoughts are with you and thanks for sharing your images.

Condolences to the family. My folks have 8mm now on DVD going back to 1949. You can never replace them.

Sometimes looking at old family photos reminds one of all of the good times (which is usually when pictures were taken), which helps with the loss.

Great pix.
