Yesterday and Tomorrow meet in this slide, great shot of Grandma posing in front of the Monsanto Hall of Chemistry. I love the Enid Collins style purse she is holding and the hat she is wearing. Whatever happened to those days when going to Disneyland was treated as a big deal and you actually dressed up for the trip? Now, everyone wears anything and everything, including some very tasteless T-shirts. I am going to blame casual workplace rules! actually it's not that Disney land was such a big deal (which it could have been for all i know) but there was a dress code to get into the park.

The dress code for Disneyland was instituted in the 1960s to help prevent hippies from taking over the park. At this time period and for any time period as the article states there was no dress code, at least a written one. I still think society at that time dressed up for events more so than today. I do have shots showing women in halter tops and guys in "greaser" outfits in the 1950s enjoying the park.
