Gibson Greeting Card Shop- September 1956

Another red photograph from September 1956. Image is of the popcorn vendor in front of the Gibson Greeting card shop that was at the end of the Main Street. The popcorn has brought quite a crowd wanting to purchase a bag full of the hot and salty yumminess.

Here is the original scan showing the very red color to the photograph.

Welcome back!

While the restored color of the last two days' photos didn't come out looking natural (and I wasn't able to do any better playing with the originals in Photoshoppe), I really like them. They evoke the era of hand-tinted postcards, which, appropriately enough, is the era that Main Street, U.S.A. is set in.

Thanks for sharing!

Yes, welcome back, Matterhorn! I might take a crack at that red image later today... who knows if it will turn out any good.
