Views From 1956 Part 1

Starting a new series of very nice images from what I believe is 1956. First up is Main Street with two nice views. First up is a nice view of the Wurlitzer shop and the Hill Brothers Coffee shop.

And this nice view is from the steps of the Main Street Railroad Station looking down Main Street towards the Castle.

So, what's the difference between the "TRASH" and the "WASTE" cans, and why are they different colors?!

I'm thinking it's probably either May or July, if only because of the American Flag decorations. Still, by the shadows, its around noon and the park appears still slow.

Actually I believe the sign says it is the Maxwell House. Not sure when Hill's took over but that's what it was when I worked there in 1969-70. A nice stop for lunch. Too bad it's gone.

Anonymous you are correct...Hills Brothers moved in at the site in 1958.
