Souvenir Friday- Cartoon Map Ashtray
I will admit I am a sucker for cartoon maps, especially of Disneyland. This is an unusual version being a large ashtray measuring approximately 8 inches in diameter. The art would now be classified as retro, although I classify it as cool, fun and whimsical. For those wondering, I would date this piece as 1959 to 1961.

Fun ashtray map! I like how they train tracks a truly a circle route. Ulta-whimsical - thanks!
I never got why companies would put a picture of their product or logo into the bottom of an ashtray.
As an art piece, it's nice because it's all original art work, not pulled from ready made clip art.
Notice that bodies of water are left white.
I also like the fact that the Grand Canyon Diorama was indicated as well... kind of unusual.
