More Navy Liberty Images

Our intrepid sailor did take some interesting images. Rather than talk at length about them, I will just show the photographs.

So which ones are your favorites?

I wonder if those sailors were upset that the Subs were out of commission??

That last photo puzzles me, where the heck is that stage with all the trees around it? Obviously Tomorrowland, but I can't picture WHERE in Tomorrowland. Also, any idea what stage show is going on?

Disneyland in the early 70's.My first formative images of youth are from there. That said, they are all my favorite.

I will venture a guess. There was a stage located in the general area between the Moon ride and the merchandise area at the exit from Innerspace. As for the trees, I do not recall a berm in the back, but there were occasions when trees were positioned in very large containers for background purposes. The seating as you can see was temporary. It was from this location that, in July 1969 a large TV screen (projection) was positioned for guests to view the moon landing.

Also...I will venture to say that the troupe may be "Up With People"

You know, they are all pretty good pictures. BTW, does anybody remember the song "Up, Up with People" as sung on the TV show "Wonderama" on Sunday mornings?

Subs and Tomorrowland stage.

Couldn't it be The Kids of the Kingdom on that Tomorrowland Stage?

Definitely the Tomorrowland stage, but those trees indeed look quite mature. Possibly a photo from around 1975 just prior to being removed for the building of Space Mountain?
