Old Chicago Aflame at Freedomland
Here the fire department has responded to the fire alarm that Old Chicago is burning. The building was a concrete structure with gas lines feeding the flames. The firefighters would ask guests to assist in pumping the water to put out the flames. Of course the fire would be doused and the crowd would applaud.

Of all the things at Freedomland, this was the one that intrigued me most; the guest participation in the putting out the fire, even if it was only pumping the water. Looked like a fun show. Thanks.
I've never seen photos in which the flames looked so fierce. Pretty cool!
