Souvenir Friday- Disneyland Cartoon

My brother found this a couple of months ago...it is a fun cartoon by Dick Shaw that probably appeared in the Orange County Magazine. Dick Shaw was a long time animator starting at Disney in the late 1930's and then working for UPA on many Mr. Magoo films. Mr. Shaw was a resident of Newport Beach. The tag line on the cartoon is: We've been lost all day trying to find Disneyland...so we're going to tackle it tomorrow when we are fresher!

On another note, a friend of mine runs a nice website for those who enjoy scrapbooking. The site also has historical discussions about Disney, Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The site is Mousescrappers.

Any idea what the date of this cartoon is? It looks very "New Yorker-ish". What a cool find!

I may ask you to loan that to me someday. I've been collecting material for years to do an exhibit about O.C. cartoons/cartoonists, and this one covers both catagories.

Is that the same animator that goes by the name of Rick Shaw! (yes, with the exclamation point as his official name)?
