World's Fair Wednesday- Sputnik and More

First up is a nice exterior image of a building. Unfortunately the slide is not titled. I assume it is for the United States....but I can't quite read the title on the building. I do like the skyway and the plethora of flags.

Next up is an interior display seen in the Congo Pavilion. I believe it shows the planning of crops in order to maximize the land.

Next up the interior of the Russia Pavilion featuring the space age satellite the Sputnik III. The launch of these satellites spurred the creation of NASA and the space race.

The hosting company has said that they are under a hacker attack and are working on a solution.

Shoot, I can only see one photo. I'll try again later. How frustrating for you!

I can't quite make out what the top one is, but it's not the US Pavilion. That was a round structure. This one seems to have signs for Stella Artois beer in the windows. The tower behind it is for the Vatican pavilion. I just can't find my map now to sort it out any further. Hope that helps get someone started in finding the actual name.

Bill is right, the creme stone building is for Vatican City, with the scaffolding on left acting as a bell tower.

The dark glass building on the right has the word "Brasserie" on it, which either means a brewery, or an upscale restaurant

Hooray, I can see the photos today. Fantastic as always; this set is a real treasure! The interior pics off the USSR pavilion, with the satellites, are awesome.

A great photo! Interestingly, the bells that you see in the background for the Vatican Pavilion ended up in the U.S. They can be heard daily on the campus of Wilmington College, Wilmington, OH.
