Matterhorn and Monorail

Simple post today from June of 1959 when both attractions were new and shiny. First up is an early morning view of the Matterhorn.

My favorite buckets in nice and shiny metal colors.

Monorail Red standing in the station. The Disneyland Alweg Monorail lettering on top of the station reminds me of the sugar letters used on birthday cakes.

Is it my imagination or does the mountain look...different? LOVE that 2nd shot.

These are great, especially the last 2, and particularly the one with the red Monorail!

That second pic is classic, those original bucket colors are my favorite too!

Connie, its not your imagination, the color is different (more brown now) and it seems to have less detail and snow now too and of course those two big holes are missing!
