Fantasyland Views

More images from the collection of glass slides from 1958. First up is a Skyway shot of Fantasyland with the Mickey Mouse Club Theater in the right hand foreground.

The second image is a closer shot taken from the entrance to Snow White. The guests are wearing some great fashions.

This is going to sound rather strange but...these brought tears to my eyes. Every time I see shots from this time period, I scan the crowd looking for my parents. My dad loved Disneyland - so much that we went OFTEN.

These are great images, and crystal clear. I have some glass slides myself, but have not been able to successfully scan them, what's the trick?

Both are nice, but that second photo is really neat... an unusual and interesting angle!

What joy! Happy memories of minimum capacity days. Thin crowds of thin Americans! What planet is this on, I want to visit!

Both are excellent but the composition of the second shot is outstanding. Truly professional.

Gotta agree with the others, the second shot is marvelous, taken from just the right height and pulled back location, what a neat perspective!

These are really clear for glass slides!!!! I'm a so digging the clothes in the second slide...

@Connie Moreno: I feel the same thing here. I also look over these slides, hoping to see my family in someone else's snapshot background. It had to have happened. The more I see these pictures, the more I wish I could step through. It seems the best times of my young life were in Disneyland and I still feel it when I go back, no matter how old I am.

These feel much like the pictures in Major Pepperidge's 7-30 post, except with people. Same place, same sky, more fun.

Thank you for these. I know Mom and Dad are out there somewhere and I'm going to keep looking.
