World's Fair Wednesday- More 1958 Brussel's World's Fair Buildings

More views of modern buildings showcasing countries at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. First up is Tunisia with the Phillip's Radio in the back ground.

Next up is a large classical style building for Arab States. A nice fountain in the front helps to soften the size of the building.

Luxemburg looks like a library on a college campus. The cart in the foreground offers a nice interesting touch.

Looking like an apartment complex, the pavilion for Spain. Still a nice modern building and I would not mind living there.

That "thing" in the first photo reminds me of the Disney building in Los Angeles.

Once again, exceptionally nice photos of a rarely-seen Fair. The Phillips buiiding reminds me of the German Pavilion at Expo '67 - only cooler!

The wildly different building in the first photo is quite an important building from an architecture history perspective.

It was designed by Le Corbusier, one of the grandfather's of modern architecture. Here's its Wikipedia entry:

The insides were pretty groundbreaking, too. They were recently recreated in this project:
