A nice view of the two story Jungle Cruise dock. The typestyle on the sign makes it look like it was printed rather than painted.
One of the steam trains at the station. Notice the brand new attraction poster for Nature's Wonderland.
My favorite image of the Disneyland Sanitation Department with his lovely umbrella. The tour guide and teenage girls in the background are highly amused.

very good stuff here. that shot of the open train cars and attraction posters at the front of the park is a realty nice view.
Awesome set, the sanitation guy sure looks proud, gotta love that umbrella! Thanks!
I'm curious if the tower at the Jungle Cruse dispatch actually served some purpose ... For example, was it an observation tower so that if the boats got into trouble, somebody could see the layout of the whole attraction and pinpoint the problem?
I think I read that the tower at the Jungle Cruise was there so that ride operators could keep track of where all the boats were. For some reason, *perhaps* in case of a problem, like if the animatronic animals became sentient - and HUNGRY. When foliage got so mature that you couldn't see the boats anymore, the tower became irrelevant and was removed.
The Jungle Cruise is so much cozier now with the mature foliage but those retro shots are so fun!
