Stuff From the Gate- 1962 New Construction in Adventureland Brochure

Three Wonderful ways to visit Disneyland ticket brochure number 13, dated 2/62 and promoting the new construction in Adventureland. The use of a Marc Davis sketch is very nice. The interior has changed and gone to a more stark design. Notice that Disneyland is selling a pay one price Passport that allowed a guest to ride any ride with the exception of shooting galleries.

Things From the Gate- Two Wonderful Ways to Visit Disneyland 1961

In 1961, Disneyland switched to another design for the ticket brochures. The brochure ia a tri-fold and fold down into nice little brochure. Luckily for collectors, Disneyland actually numbered and dated these in code. However, I do not know if they skip numbered as I am still trying to complete the numbers. First up are two brochures that are identical with the exception of the number and the number printed. The first one is number 4 and had 175M printed, with a date of 5/61. (The code is found on the middle panel in the lower right hand corner.) I do not know if there are number 1, 2 or 3 in existence.

This brochure is numbered 5, also dated 5/61 but with a number of 200M printed.

Things From the Gate- Babes In Toyland Ticket Brochure

Another brochure that was filed in a different box. This Three Wonderful Ways to Visit Disneyland features the Babes in Toyland Movie exhibit in the Opera House as well as the construction notice. The interior with the large 1, 2 and 3 is nice as well. The brochure is number 12 and dated 1/62.

Things From the Gate- Papotin's Revue Ticket Brochure

Continuing with the orange colored Wonderful Ways to Visit Disneyland brochures, today I feature the 1963 brochure with the graphics for Andre Tahon's Papotin's Revue show. The number on this is 23 and is dated 7/1963. This used to be a fairly common brochure, but I still have not seen one for sale in a while.

This example is one of the reasons I am trying to complete a set of these Two Wonderful Ways to visit Disneyland ticket brochure. A nice advertisement for the 2nd Annual Dixieland at Disneyland event. This is numbered 6 in the date code or 11/61.

Things From the Gate- Mickey Mouse Club Ticket Brochure

Today and next week I am catching up with a couple of Two Wonderful Ways to Enjoy Disneyland brochures that were filed in a different location. First up is the brochure numbered 21 featuring the Mickey Mouse Club that was shown in Los Angeles on KTTV Channel 11. Ginny is looking very pretty in this image and who does not love Roy Williams the big Moosekeeter.
