Painting the Oaks Tavern Sign
A nice image of an employee in the sign shop working on the Oaks Tavern sign. The Oaks Tavern opened in 1956 and closed in 1978, turning into the Stage Door Cafe. Based upon the clothing of the employee, this looks like it was taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The tools of a sign painter are on display.

Wonder if this name was discontinued since it referred to a "tavern"?
