Souvenir Friday- Yippie Thanks Letter

As most Disneyland historians know, on August 6, 1971 the Yippie party attempted a large scale protest at Disneyland. This reprinted article was sent to all employees to thank them for their handling of the incident.

Quite a find indeed! And as a veteran of that day, I am kicking myself for not keeping this doucment, among so many others that I accumulated during my tenure as a CM. 43 years ago...and I can recall it all. Wow, what a flashback.

Super cool find. In one version that I heard, Nunis punched one of the Yippees in the nose up by Town Square as he was refusing to leave the park.

(sigh) The author of the piece confuses peace loving hippies with the Yuppies.

I hope Orange County is not so conservative as it was in those days.
