Flowers, Ships and a Shop

Once again traveling to 1964. First up is a great image of the Flower Market on Main Street. I am totally enamored with the cast member in the back.

Next up are two blurry shots of the ships on the Rivers of America. The soft focus does make the shots look more nostalgic.

The last image is one of the souvenir shops in Fantasyland- The Fantasy Gift Fair with the Fantasyland Art Corner in the background. Some great souvenirs can be seen on the shelves, a postcard rack and who would not want that sign?

(Note: I have left the scan large so some of the details can be seen.)

Wow, I love that last one! An unusual angle with some neat details.

On the far right of the last shot, you can see a little blue item fall off the edge... is that a trash can?

@ Tannerman, yes it is a trash can. They had flat tops and were painted with vertical blue and white stripes. A second can appears in the picture on the mid-right between the man in the dark suit and the free standing postcard rack.

Also notice the side of the vending machine in the center. Probably for cigarettes.

By the way, the Park looks spotless.

I noticed the spotless park in the last pic too - WOW! It does look like he's texting, haha...

And "Red" in pic #1 is mesmerizing...

I just found a photo of my Mom standing in that same flower market locations, circa 1967.

She loved that place, even if the flowers were plastic.

Thanks for this.

This is another one that makes me crazy because I simply CANNOT walk into it no matter how hard I try.
