The next two images are of the design seen most often. The first is a badge made out of metal. In the 1960's the metal badges were worn by all cast members working the attraction.
The next is actually a cloth insignia. These were worn in the 1970s and 1980s by the regular cast members. The leads wore the metal version. I believe at this time there was a limited number of metal badges still in the costume supply at the park.

So cool, and extremely rare! The fact that the Disneyland costumes had this level of detail just goes to show you how much care went into everything at the park.
Out of curiosity, is the back of the first badge hallmarked?
Where might this submarine sailor find such a rarity?
