New Tomorrowland 1967

Today's post focuses on the New Tomorrowland of 1967. The most fondly remembered Tomorrowland and one that I yearn for in my memories. The first image shows the Monsanto Adventure Through Inner Space building with the fantastic planters with cacti and other exotic plants.

The second slide shows the interior of the ride.

The final image is of the Peoplemover track between the Circle Vision theater and Adventure Through Inner Space. It is interesting that the Peoplemover cars are all blue in the photo.

Great stuff. An interior of ATIS, wow! Strange that all of the peoplemover vehicles are blue. No red, yellow or aqua?

I'm wondering when the fountain became a planter?

Oooooooh! I miss that Tomorrowland so much! I was wondering the same thing about the fountains/planters. When were those converted?

Awesome shots. I'm glad the "futuristic" siding/cladding behind the planters is still in Tomorrowland, it’s painted, but still looks great!

When did they add the "safety" bars to the PeopleMover cars? I've seen some promotional films and photo's that show them without the bars.

Great post, this is the part of Disneyland I yearn for the most too...
