More 1968 Tomorrowland

From a different collection of slides with a date of June 1968 come the two photographs snapped as the photographer was riding the Skyway. The first image shows the lovely GE Carousel of Progress. Let's all sing along...There is a great big beautiful tomorrow....

The second image shows the lovely Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant and the fantastic elevator stage.

I think I've seen so many pictures of the 50's Tomorrowland that I am especially really loving these pictures from the 60's!

Wonderful.... The GE Carousel of Progress look so new and exciting. Thanks for putting the song back in my head :-)

Great shots. The white bottom of the patio cover was painted over circa 1990 with a galactic swirls mural (Is it still there?) Supposedly that mural was done as test for Tomorrowland 2055's color palette.

Wow---I sure wish we still had the 1967 Tomorrowland in place...

Westcot: Yes, that galactic swirl design was still on the underside of the cement canopy over the patio last time I checked (last year I think).

Do you have any shots of the areas outside the park taken during one of these DLand trips? I'm always on the lookout for snapshots of the local motels...

Thanks for the great post(s)!

A-ha, so there were two of those 1967 Tomorrowland ticket booths? I never knew that. I only remember the one that was over by the Submarine Voyage entrance, so I always assumed when I saw pics of the one in front of Flight to the Moon, that it was eventually moved. I wonder if either one of these still exists somewhere backstage?

I'm LOVING these photos. Thank you, again!
