The second is marked Main Street Looking South. The time is 8:25 AM and it appears the park opened at 9 AM as the only people on the street are employees and there is a truck parked on the North end of the street.
Note that both of the Main Street photos are dated July 22, 1956.
The next two have no captions. The first shows the Liberty Street Preview fence and the Wurlitzer shop.
The second shows the Bekins and Emporium Annex. I like the vignette of the Japanese mom and two daughters having their photograph taken. I wonder where that image is now?
Saturday I will show some close up shots of interesting items in the images. Plus there are lots more to the photo album.

These are just some really fascinating images. It's nice to see such early photos of Main Street before opening for the day. In the summer of 1956, Disneyland was open 10 AM - 10 PM.
this set is amazing. please keep up the good work. todays main street looking north and south are priceless.
Wow, I would love to find a photo album like this! Great view of the Liberty Street facade...I wonder if they had peepholes to look through like they did for International Street?
These are amazing! Hey, did anyone ever hold Disney accountable for "Liberty Street Coming in 1958"? I see the sign in a bunch of these old photos, didn't people want answers?
That Bekins shot is great! Thanks for sharing this photo album.
This is probably one of the most definitive sets of photos I have ever seen of Disneyland. Looking forward to the rest. Thanks Matterhorn.
Wow!
Great shots.
It is amazing to see such clear shots of Main St. and not just shots of people in Main St.
Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted to walk down Main Street when there was nobody there. These shots are beautiful and a rare glimpse of an early calm Disneyland before the daily crowds.
Just wanted to point out that the dates printed on photos are the dates the pictures were developed, not necessarily the date the pictures were taken.
