Delayed Souvenir Friday Post- Fly TWA to Disneyland Brochure

One of the prettiest brochures produced prior to park opening is this Fly TWA to Disneyland brochure. Wonderful graphics highlight the brochure with a map on the inside that is different from any other map. There are several versions of this brochure, each one marked for a sponsor. I have seen Kaiser-Frazier products, Bluebird shoes, TWA, Dutch Boy paint and one more which escapes my memory. Enjoy the color on this brochure.

That's a great brochure---One I'd never seen before. The artwork is fantastic on those old Disneyland pieces.

Nice post!

The mere fact that this has a map inside it (and a beautiful one, too) makes this brochure extra special! I think I have three versions of this.

The park icons on the second scan are great!

Disney should produce a retro map just like this one.

Great post! The pre-opening map is especially cool. Note the earier "floral Mickey" design at the entrance, and the interesting layout of the land between Main St and Tomorrowland. We've all heard about the old plans for Edison St and an International St on that land -- But this map shows something that looks like a California mission back there.

The map also shows public access to the area between Main St and the Jungle Cruise. Perhaps the plan was to let visitors watch audio-animatronic cats play in the dumpsters behind the Emporium. It could have been a whole musical extravaganza, like the Tiki Room! :-)
