Busy Day at the Haunted Mansion

The Haunted Mansion was only about a year old when these photographs were taken. It appears there is quite a long line to experience the attraction. I like the clothing styles seen in the visitors, especially some of the bright colored pants, shirts and hats.

I try to imagine what it must have been like ride the Haunted Mansion before it became so familiar to everybody...It must have REALLY been stunning to guests in those days!

I remember those lines--they were indeed as long as they look here. And you're right, Major--it really was amazing to experience those first few years. (It still is now, with new effect like the floating Madame Leota).
